Reuben G. Berg came to Dazey in September 1933 as a teacher and athletic coach at Dazey High School. He was on the school faculty for ten years, serving as superintendent during the last seven years.

Marion Torguson and Reuben Berg were married on June 2, 1935. Marion, a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. T.B. Torguson, graduated from Dazey High School and was a teacher before her marriage. The family moved to Oslo, Minnesota in 1943 and in 1950 to Motley, Minnesota. After 45 years in the field of education, Mr. Berg is now retired and they are living at 6044 W. Broadway, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55428.

The Bergs had two children, both born while the family lived at Dazey. Their son, Don, lives at Goffstown, N.H. and is Regional Manager for the American International Adjustment Co. He is married to Debbie Stewart, formerly of Indianapolis. Their daughter, Phyllis, was a Medical and X-Ray technician and is married to Owen Hakseth, formerly of Hastings, Minnesota. They have six children and live at Mounds View, Minnesota.
